MPI-Meeting Planners International-had their monthly meeting at the beautiful Homewood Suites by Hilton Nashville in Nashville. Business Strategy Expert Vincent Dreffs gave a talk on how to better plan events on a budget. The food was supplied by Morton’s Steakhouse and was amazing!
The Event Management Company Pineapple Group hired me to take professional portraits of the CarePayment Team during their conference in Nashville. They requested environmental headshots that have an approachable feel. It’s always important to consider who your audience is when thinking about your portraits and what kind of impression you want to make. Judgements are made about you when people look you up online, especially if they are thinking of doing business with you.
I love the group shots with the Nashville skyline in the background!
Atlanta-based LeaderPass did an introductory session of their educational seminars. These seminars educate professionals on all sorts of areas of finance from accounting to investing in cryptocurrencies. Since they had their whole team in town, they decided to not only get coverage of their event but also headshots of their staff. Many businesses find it convenient to add headshots to their event coverage package as photographing headshots during events can be easily accomplished.
Bernard Health put on a conference for their providers at the Downtown Hilton in Nashville. It was a great opportunity for the providers to touch base with Bernard Health and get more insight into the services provided. There was a welcome reception on the first evening and a summit on the second day. What was special about this conference is that it was the first event held at the Hilton since the pandemic started. It was awesome actually being at an event and a relief to know that the worst is hopefully behind us and we will move ahead with more events!
Brentwood Dental Excellence is a dental practice that strives to make patients feel comfortable and at home. From a welcoming reception area with coffee, to their therapeutic dog which relaxes nervous patients, they have gone to great lengths to make going to the dentist an enjoyable experience. The staff are very personable and the environment is relaxed. Because these personable and relaxed qualities are so important to their branding, I made sure to show them in the images.
Home Builders of Tennessee had their annual awards ceremony at The Cool Springs Conference Center. They had to cancel this event twice because of the pandemic, but they were finally able to have it!
Emma and Taylor got married in the beautiful venue of Belle Hollow.
It was a wonderful celebration with a short and sweet ceremony and a reception that lasted long into the night. They love to travel, New Orleans being one of their favorite destinations. This inspired them to have a Second Line Parade at their reception. The guests loved it, and it made their wedding extra special, unique and fun.
Route Consultant had their annual conference at Opryland. The conference was planned to be much bigger and longer, but the company made do with the restrictions put on planning the event due to the pandemic. This was a great example of a company going forward with their event plans and accommodating. Maybe it wasn’t as big as the company had initially planned for, but they attendees loved the conference and found it very valuable.
Diamond Cellar had their annual Bridal Show last Friday. It was exciting to see couples come and look at the dresses and rings. Shooting an event during a pandemic is interesting. As a photographer, I have to find other ways to show emotion and involvement among the attendees since everyone is wearing a mask. Still, I’m grateful that events are still happening. It’s an indication that we can still protect ourselves and try to reign in this virus while allowing for business to continue. There are of course challenges to having events and socially distancing, but the it’s better than not being able to have events at all!
NAMM, the National Association of Music Merchants, had a party at Westlake Pro in Nashville to show off some new recording equipment. Being music city, musicians came out of the woodwork to have a try at the new gear. It was a great afternoon of networking, swag, games, and music.
Some of the events I love shooting the most are ones that have to do with music. I love shooting festivals, concerts, anywhere there is music. Take a look at some of my favorite live music shots.
Aspen Dental had their after party at the Wildhorse Saloon. It was a total blast! There was square dancing, there was a mechanical bull, there was a talent show, and Nick Cannon made a surprise appearance and DJed!
I recently did some individual and group portraits for the Brentwood Government. Because the officers were incredibly busy, I did their portraits on location. I set up lights in the hallway and even in the courtroom. I see portraits as a collaboration between myself and the client. They are able to view the images during the shooting process and we don't wrap up the shoot until I am certain they are satisfied with the images we shot. I would hate to be that photographer who took a bad picture of someone, so we don’t call it a day until they are satisfied.
Need some professional portraits made of you and your team? Contact me and let’s get it scheduled!
I got to photograph album shots for After 7. If you haven’t checked out this groovy R&B band then make sure you do!
Christina Kerley was the guest speaker at this month’s American Marketing Association Luncheon. She spoke of the future of marketing and technology. The luncheon was held at City Winery which always pleases with their great food and atmosphere.
Valassis Digital threw a dinner party for guests that attended a marketing conference here in Nashville. They thought it would be a nice way for prospective clients to remember them. They held the dinner at BLVD Restaurant and had Top Chef Arnold Myint prepare the dinner and even put on a cooking demo. They not only hired me to take photographs of the event, but also to capture images that communicated their branding. Branding Photography plus Event Photography equates to a great night of photography all the way around!
ERB-Educational Records Bureau- had their yearly conference recently in Nashville. The day was spent attending motivational and educational seminars. The attendees ended their day with an evening at the Country Music Hall of Fame with a stunning view of Nashville’s skyline.
